Who started
"Echo Studios Peterborough"?
Our owner Riley Farmer is a Canadian who was born in Toronto, ON but spent his life growing up in Peterborough, ON. While looking for a career after high school, he got hooked on recording when he attempted to record himself and his fellow musicians.
It was the beginning of a long road ahead.
Now he has moved on to the professional world of Audio Engineering, graduating from the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology in London, Ontario in July 2014. He's well equipped to handle any recording situation, and is always ready for a new challenge. Clients love to work with him because of his positive attitude and incredible personality. He's also very helpful with suggestions and really understands what steps to take to bring a song to life.
"I've always liked the idea of opening my own studio in the town I was raised in. A local studio owned and operated by a local audio engineer."
Now, Echo Studios Peterborough has teamed up with Mike Landry. He is a Peterborough local that has been immersed in both the recording and live music environment since he was a young boy working for his dad at Over the Top Sound and Recording Specialists. He has a BA in the Studies of Arts and Culture with a concentration in Cultural and Music management from Brock University in St Catharines, Ontario.
With his personal and educational background in music and business, as well as his audiophile tendencies, Mike adds a great contribution to both the music production and business handling of Echo Studios Peterborough.
